statement

I have an interest in still life and the world of objects, and in my artistic practice I think about the deeper meaning of things and their aesthetics.
The canvas and paper are a playground for me, where space and time are dilated and perspective is overcome to organise large chaotic, yet minimal close-ups.
The motifs, taken from both the real and digital worlds, are transformed into fragments, repetitions, loops and progressions and are deconstructed until their meaning is shifted.
A development of images based on visual associations and formal comparisons, the fascination with forms, matter and its lack, are tools for analysis in a visual language that acts as a mirror for the human mind.
